Job Description

Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.

We are looking for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Configuration Engineer to manage and implement design changes during prototype, pilot, and production builds. This role requires an organized, technical, and driven individual who can perform and/or coordinate change impact analysis, effectively deliver information and knowledge, manage tasks and and resources, and support effective product development and production processes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and feels pride and ownership of information accuracy.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials): Ensure accuracy, completeness, and availability of all components needed for each build.
  • Track implementation of ECNs and design changes, ensuring all updates are reflected in the MBOM and process documentation
  • Perform or coordinate change impact analysis
  • Identify and resolve defects in part metadata, including revision discrepancies, missing attributes, or incomplete structures
  • Collaborate with design, supply chain, and build teams to validate that build content matches design intent
  • Support build readiness by confirming all required parts and consumables are represented in the MBOM
  • Help drive effective change management workflows and participate in continuous improvement of PLM processes

Requirements: 

  • 1+ years of experience in NPI, manufacturing, or project management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, BOM management, and supply chain logistics.
  • Strong understanding of PLM systems and release workflows
  • Strong understanding of change management principles and concepts such as CAs, ECOs, ECNs, and Issues.
  • Proficiency in CAD, BOM,and configuration management authoring tools (3DExperience (3DX) Enovia, Delmia, and CATIA experience is strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with ERP, WMS, and MES tools.
  • Strong task and item tracking, analysis, and reporting skills; scripting or Python experience is a plus
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive accountability.

Bonus Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $110,000 and $160,000 annually.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
