Job Description

Overview:

Join our "Fetch" team at Aleph Alpha, where we're on a mission to revolutionize the future of work with AI. As a cutting-edge team of experienced innovators, we're dedicated to pushing the boundaries of LLMs and AI agents, driving excellence, and continuously improving to stay ahead of the curve.

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Aleph Alpha GmbH, you will play a central role in designing, developing, and maintaining both backend systems and frontend interfaces. You’ll help scale our research and development efforts, contribute to core features, and ensure our systems are robust, maintainable, and production-ready. If you're comfortable working across the stack, passionate about modern software architecture, and excited by the potential of AI, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and intuitive frontend applications.

  • Own features end-to-end, from architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers to align technical solutions with user needs.

  • Ensure high code quality through code reviews, mentoring, and writing tests (unit, integration, and E2E).

  • Contribute to the team’s engineering culture by sharing knowledge and continuously improving our tech stack and processes.

  • Help integrate and productionize projects involving LLMs or AI agents.

  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab/GitHub, including container orchestration via Helm and Kubernetes.

Your profile:

  • Strong backend experience in Python, ideally in production-grade systems.

  • Frontend experience using modern frameworks such as Vue.js or React; you are comfortable implementing features, integrating APIs, and working closely with design.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub.

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.

  • Understanding of domain-driven design and ability to apply architectural principles to complex systems.

  • Hands-on experience with LLMs or AI agents in at least one project (personal or professional); if personal, code should be available on GitHub.

  • A collaborative mindset and a strong sense of ownership.

  • Ability to mentor and guide less experienced engineers.

What you can expect from us:

  • Become part of an AI revolution!

  • 30 days of paid vacation

  • Access to a variety of fitness & wellness offerings via Wellhub

  • Substantially subsidized company pension plan for your future security

  • Subsidized Germany-wide transportation ticket or Jobrad

  • Budget for additional technical equipment

  • Flexible working hours for better work-life balance and hybrid working model

  • Virtual Stock Option Plan
