Product Strategist

About the Role:
We are looking for a Product Strategist to lead the development and adoption of the LMArena platform and its leaderboards. This role focuses on increasing visibility and understanding of the core values of the LMArena platform. You will also be creating content that helps the world understand that LMArena is the best place to access all the top AI models and learn which models are the best for their use cases.
In this role, you’ll lead the strategic direction of our platform roadmap, working cross-functionally to ship features and grow usage and adoption. You’ll serve as the bridge between the AI community and our internal team, translating real-world needs into product priorities, integration, and communication. You will equally help educate and onboard new users to quickly grasp the value of the platform through marketing content in collaboration with Marketing. Our community includes AI researchers, open-source contributors, and developers building real-world applications with LLMs.
This is a high-impact role for someone excited to shape how the AI community measures progress and builds with models in the real world.

Own and evolve the LMArena leaderboard roadmap in collaboration with our team, setting direction and priorities based on user needs, product metrics, and ecosystem trends.
Translate developer needs into product requirements, working closely with engineering, design, and community teams to improve relevance, usability, and clarity of leaderboard features.
Collaborate with the data and research teams to refine leaderboard features and ensure leaderboard rankings are interpretable, fair, and aligned with real-world model usage.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Comms, Marketing and Research to help define how we explain and scale leaderboards.
Create educational and inspiring content on a regular cadence, like: trend reports, explainers, demos, or guides that help researchers, builders and Ai professionals understand how leaderboard metrics work, how their input improves model evaluation, and how the AI space is progressing.
Shape and amplify LMArena’s scientific voice across X, LinkedIn, and other key platforms. Build trust, grow influence, and make LMArena a go-to source for researchers, academics, and AI professionals.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, developer relations, or a related role in a technical product environment
Strong understanding of AI/ML or developer platforms, with the ability to translate technical concepts into product priorities and user-facing features
Proven ability to drive cross-functional product work from strategy to execution, collaborating with engineering, design, and data/research teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of producing developer-facing content (e.g., product updates, technical explainers, community posts)
Experience working directly with developer or research communities; comfortable gathering feedback, prioritizing needs, and acting as a trusted voice of the user
A strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability, equally comfortable setting vision and shipping fast
Passion for open, community-driven infrastructure and an appreciation for the importance of neutral, trustworthy evaluation in AI
Preferred Qualifications
Background in AI/ML (academic, industry, or open-source contribution)
Experience working on or contributing to evaluation tools, benchmark platforms, or technical dashboards
Familiarity with metrics, data visualization, or interpretability in the context of LLMs or developer tools
Previous experience in a startup or zero-to-one product environment
Ability to code, build demos, or prototype ideas to engage technical users (Python, JS, or similar)
