Responsibilities: Responsible for developing and improving the open source Ray and Anyscale proprietary offering. Specific duties include: developing Ray and Anyscale’s software systems, including: components of Ray like the distributed object store among others, cluster orchestration, machine learning libraries, serving platform, working with other team members to develop, deploy, and debug the features in a timely manner; communicating work updates through talks, tutorials, blog posts, and similar; interacting with users and customers to solve their problems and address their needs; conducting independent analysis of current software, including performance analysis; evaluating technical problems and product roadmaps; leading team to deliver features in a timely manner; and working with engineering team to ensure proper feature functionality; and other duties as assigned.
Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in San Francisco, CA.
Education: *Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: *2 years of experience in the job offered or related position. 2 years of experience working with: Python, Go, or similar Object-Oriented languages; and 2 years of experience working on open source systems, such as Ray, distributed object storage, scheduler systems, or interaction with underlying operating systems.
*In lieu of a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent) and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related, including 5 years of experience working with: Python, Go, or similar Object-Oriented languages; and 5 years of experience working on open source systems, such as Ray, distributed object storage, scheduler systems, or interaction with underlying operating systems.
Rate of Pay: $207K – $250K
