Position: Software Engineer – Infrastructure (SWEI-2)
Location: Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental United States but will report directly to Anyscale headquarters in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities: Responsible for developing and improving the open source Ray and Anyscale proprietary offering. Specific duties include: developing Ray and Anyscale’s software systems, including: cluster orchestration, metrics, billing, UI platform, SDK (software development kit), machine learning libraries, serving platform, various components of Ray like the distributed object store among others; working with other team members to develop, deploy, and debug the features in a timely manner; communicating work updates through talks, tutorials, blog posts, and similar; interacting with users and customers to solve their problems and address their needs; conducting independent analysis of current software, including performance analysis; evaluating technical problems and product roadmaps; leading team to deliver features in a timely manner; and working with engineering team to ensure proper feature functionality; and other duties as assigned.

Education: *Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: *6 months of experience in the job offered or related position. 6 months of experience working with: Python, Go, or similar Object-Oriented languages; 6 months of experience working with distributed computing, such as: Kubernetes, gRPC, or Kafka; 6 months of experience working with cloud computing services, such as: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
*In lieu of a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent) and 6 months of experience in the job offered or related, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field (or foreign equivalent) and 2 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related, including 2 years of experience working with: Python, Go, or similar Object-Oriented languages; 2 years of experience working with distributed computing, such as: Kubernetes, gRPC, or Kafka; 2 years of experience working with cloud computing services, such as: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Rate of Pay: $156k - $180k
