You will be part of a fast-paced, cross-functional team building compact, high-performance actuators for a new class of humanoid robots. This role is ideal for an engineer with a few years of industry experience who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about precision mechanical design, material selection, and rotor dynamics. This is an unpaid role, but it is an exclusive opportunity and we’re only bringing in a small group of passionate and motivated testers so you do have to apply and interview for the role. You can consider this an opportunity to help drive the direction of the next generation of educational technology, connect with like minded individuals in the community and on the DLAI team, and get a sneak peak into the cutting-edge of new AI technologies. Here’s what you’ll do:Test new tools, applications, or educational materials and record your feedback to be shared with the DLAI team. Attend group meetings once every couple of weeks to share and discuss ideas about educational products with the DLAI team. Commit at least 1 hour per week on average to some combination of testing and reviewing product prototypes and meetings. Here are the skills and experience you should have:There are no hard technical prerequisites, but the tools and educational experiences you’ll be testing will most often be aimed at a junior to mid-level technical learner audience, so having some experience in Python programming, AI, machine learning, data science, and / or software engineering will be to your advantage.Education expertise is not required, but if you do bring that set of skills that’s great! Past experience taking courses with DLAI will be a plus.
