Job Description

Who are we?

Ema is building next-generation AI technology to empower every employee in the enterprise to be their most creative and productive. Our proprietary platform enables companies to delegate the majority of repetitive tasks to Ema, the Universal AI employee. We are founded by ex-Google, Coinbase, and Okta executives, and serial entrepreneurs. We are well-funded by world-class investors and angels. Ema is based in Silicon Valley and Bangalore.

Why does this role exist?

Ema’s mission is to define the future of work by building an AI-native enterprise where intelligent agents handle the majority of operational execution. To achieve this, Ema must deeply understand and integrate with the vast ecosystem of tools, data sources, and platforms used across modern organizations.

The AI Systems & Integrations team is responsible for expanding Ema’s capabilities across applications, MCPs, workflows, and data systems. The team ensures Ema can interact with, reason across, and take action within the environments our customers rely on every day.

This role is critical to expanding the breadth and reliability of Ema’s intelligence.

What is the role?

We are looking for a technically fluent, high-agency AI Integrations Specialist to help scale Ema’s footprint across enterprise applications and agentic workflows. You will work hands-on with integrations, connectors, MCPs, and model evaluations that directly improve Ema’s reasoning and tool-calling accuracy.

This is a rare opportunity to gain deep, practical experience with agentic AI systems, becoming one of the earliest experts in a rapidly growing field.

What you’ll do day to day

1. Integrations & Connector Enablement

a. Integrate Ema with a growing set of enterprise applications and SaaS tools

b. Configure, test, and maintain MCP-based integrations, APIs, webhooks, and data connectors

c. Run and write scripts, write javascript code for workflows, manage Git workflows, and investigate integration issues

d. Optimize onboarding flows for new applications and ensure seamless operation in production

2. Agentic AI Support & Enablement

a. Ensure Ema has the right capabilities to take actions across connected systems

b. Build or modify small utilities, scripts, and transformations to bridge functionality gaps

c. Partner with internal teams to design integration patterns that maximize Ema’s autonomy

3. AI Evaluations & Model Feedback

a. Conduct deep evaluations on agent behavior, tool-calling accuracy, and reasoning quality

b. Analyze structured outputs, logs, and error cases to identify model weaknesses

c. Work with modeling and product teams to provide high-quality feedback that improves the EmaFusion model

d. Design evaluation scenarios, test harnesses, and repeatable experiments

4. Cross-Team Collaboration

a. Work with Product, Engineering, and Customer teams to understand integration needs

b. Help bring new customer use cases to life by expanding Ema’s system capabilities

c. Translate customer workflows into integration requirements and actionable test plans

Who We Are Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in an AI evaluation, integrations, testing, or similar engineering or product adjacent role

  • Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline

What would make someone successful in this role?

a. High Agency: You move fast, self-manage, and take ownership of outcomes

b. Technically Fluent: Comfortable with scripts, Git, API docs, CLI tools, and light debugging

c. Systems Thinker: You understand how applications, data flows, and APIs connect

d. Analytical: You enjoy inspecting logs, identifying failure points, and running structured evaluations

e. Builder at Heart: You love creating products using Agentic AI to solve meaningful problems

f. AI-Curious: You follow emerging AI developments and learn new tools quickly

g. Clear Communicator: You can explain both problem and solution clearly to cross-functional teams, both in verbal and written formats

Bonus Points

a. Experience building or maintaining integrations, APIs, or automation workflows

b. Exposure to MCPs, agent frameworks, or LLM-based tool calling

c. Familiarity with no-code/low-code builders (Zapier, Make, n8n)

d. Experience with AI-native coding tools like Cursor or Lovable

e. Experience running or designing AI evaluations or red-teaming processes

Why this role is special

a. Direct impact on how Ema interacts with the world

b. Deep exposure to agentic AI and real-world model behavior

c. Rare opportunity to shape the next era of enterprise AI integration

d. A fast-learning environment with modern AI development tooling
