Osmo is seeking an Automation and Process Specialist to join our engineering & automation team. In this role, you’ll support our mission to democratize scent by enabling rapid automation of fragrance compounding. You’ll work hands on with our dosing robot, manage handoffs with our software and hardware systems, optimize factory flows, and troubleshoot errors. You’ll keep our site running smoothly, drive continuous improvement and ensure production remains safe, accurate, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Automated Dosing Robot: Ensure accurate, timely dispensing of fragrance ingredients and seamless integration with the rest of the production line.

  • Automation System Support & Maintenance: Provide operational and technical support for manufacturing software systems (such as our MES) and automated hardware. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automated production systems and process controls including robotics, barcode/dispensing systems, PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze production data, build automated MES reports, and provide insights that drive capital and continuous improvement projects.

  • Process Optimization & Improvement: Identify short-term fixes as well as long-term enhancements for automated processes. Optimize the robot dispensing and setup. Use data to support continuous improvement projects by performing data analysis.

  • Network & Infrastructure: Keep all automation networks and production computers running and connected. Coordinate with IT for timely maintenance, updates, and upgrades to avoid downtime.

  • Documentation & Training: Keep clear SOPs and guides, test new systems, and train the team on setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting.

  • Vendors & Spare Parts: Be the go-to contact for vendors, arrange service when needed, keep spare parts stocked, and suggest upgrades to cut downtime

  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety rules for LOTO, PPE, and regulations and make sure every process tasks meet our standard.

Qualifications

  • Background in computer science, software programming, or engineering.

  • 2+ years supporting automation in a manufacturing environment.

  • Solid electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Practical experience with programming and automation software.

  • PLC experience is a plus.

Salary Range: 85K - 120K annually
