About the Role
As Flight Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in validating the performance, reliability, and operational readiness of our autonomous drone systems. You will lead test campaigns on both our own products and competitor systems to inform internal development and maintain a competitive edge.
Responsibilities
Product Testing: Plan and execute validation & verification of drone systems in simulated and real-world conditions.
Flight Test Campaigns: Design and conduct rigorous test flights for new features, hardware configurations, and software releases.
Competitive Benchmarking: Analyze and test competitor systems to extract performance insights and inform internal product development.
Test Protocols: Define, document, and refine structured test procedures across flight performance, autonomy, control systems, and safety.
Data Analysis: Capture and interpret telemetry, logs, and test outcomes to assess system behavior and recommend design improvements hand-in-hand with the R&D.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure that test operations comply with regulatory and safety standards.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with hardware, software, and systems teams to support debugging and iteration based on test outcomes.
Candidate Requirements
2–5 years of experience in drone testing, aerospace systems validation, or embedded robotics.
Solid understanding of flight dynamics, control systems, and avionics.
Hands-on experience with UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) and ground control software.
Comfortable designing and executing structured test protocols.
Bonus: Pilot certification, experience with military or industrial drone platforms.
Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams toward success.
