Our Mission:
At Sunrise Robotics, we are dedicated to augmenting humanity through intelligent robotics. Our mission is to elevate the world of manufacturing by introducing intelligent, flexible robots that enhance human capabilities and existing machinery, ushering in the next era of production at higher quality, with less waste, and lower cost.
Our Vision:
We see a future where every element of manufacturing, from design to assembly, is optimised with intelligent automation. Our vision is to integrate flexible robotic solutions, based on generic hardware and advanced software/AI capabilities, into manufacturing, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, to make automation economically viable and accessible, for all sizes of manufacturers. We are not just building robots; we are creating the strategically crucial components for autonomous, intelligent agents of the future.
The Role:
As a Robotics Delivery Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring smooth deployment and reliable operation of our robotic systems. This position bridges development, deployment and operations focusing on the successful deploy and ongoing performance of our robot fleet. You will gain exposure first hand to robotics production systems deployed at scale in the field.
You will be assisting our deployment team by providing expert guidance on how to efficiently setup our robots and validate their expected performance. You will also play a key role in being the point of contact in guaranteeing post-deployment operational support. You will provide mostly remote support, with occasional travels to the customer’s site if required.
What you will do:
Deployment Preparation: setup new deployments, configure and program the robot, validate its functionalities in simulated environments before delivery to the customer’s premises
Deployment Support: remote support of the deployment teams when installing and provisioning the system, handling any rough edges to ensure the robots come online smoothly
Operational Support: Monitor and maintain operational our robot fleet, using appropriate tools, diagnosing and resolving anomalies or failures quickly to guarantee uptime and performance according to our Operational Support Process
Drive Improvements: Provide your feedback and learnings to stakeholders, contributing to improve our operational support process and direct R&D effort in the right direction
Advanced On-Site Assistance (as needed): be directly involved on site in complex or key deployments when specialised technical support is needed
Who you are:
Experience in ROS2, Isaac Sim (or similar frameworks and simulators)
Knowledgable python developer
Familiarity with building or maintaining production systems deployed on the field
Bachelor’s degree in robotics or similar field or equivalent working experience
Collaborative team player, with a can-do attitude, and clear and proactive communicator
Empathetic and understanding of the customer’s and other collaborating team’s requests and deadlines
Proficient at working remotely and open to occasional travels to the customer’s site
Based in one of the three European time zones (West, Central or Eastern European) and able to travel in the Schengen area (eg holder of Schengen VISA, British, Swiss or Norwegian national, etc.)
Bonus points if you have:
Familiarity with developing or contributing to the development of robotics systems
Background in providing operational support to ensure smooth, reliable system performance.
