Job Description

We’re hiring a Software Technical Program Manager to drive complex, multi-disciplinary programs across the full product lifecycle. You’ll coordinate between software and hardware teams, manage schedules and risks, and ensure we deliver reliable, high-quality software aligned with partners and stakeholders. This role spans prototyping through mass production and requires deep experience aligning engineering efforts with manufacturing realities.

As a Software TPM, you’ll work closely with internal engineering and vendors. You’ll be a key link between software development, QA, operations, and external suppliers to keep projects moving smoothly and at high quality.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead various software project execution from early concept through product launch and sustaining support

  • Build and maintain detailed schedules, dependencies, and risk assessments for software deliverables

  • Coordinate across many different engineering disciplines and technologies to ensure successful integrations and coordinated releases

  • Interface directly with select vendors and factory partners, including traveling to support builds and validation

  • Drive cross-functional issue triage, ensuring root causes are found and fixes are implemented

  • Help stand up and coordinate support functions such as QA and release quality management

  • Maintain clear communication of program status, risks, and decision points to leadership and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical program management, with experience shipping software at scale in highly cross-functional, complex projects

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, particularly involving hardware or embedded systems

  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional engineering programs, schedules, and risk mitigation plans

  • Expertise in building QA/QC teams and processes, release management, and sustaining engineering

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating with cross-functional teammates, internal partners, and external vendors globally

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to factories and vendor sites

  • Familiarity with embedded software development, including C/C++, RTOS, and Linux
