This pivotal role requires a professional with a strong background in software, electronics, and system-level certification programs. The ideal candidate will have participated in the entire lifecycle of a certification program and possess deep expertise in critical aerospace standards. This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility while ensuring collaborative team engagement. Depending on program needs, this expert may serve as both a Quality Assurance Engineer and a Certification Verification Engineer (CVE). The day-to-day Lead and participate in all phases of the certification lifecycle for complex software, electronics, and system developments, from planning through verification and approval. Apply in-depth knowledge of aerospace certification standards, specifically DO-178C, DO-254, and/or ARP4754A/B, to ensure compliance. Act as a Quality Assurance Engineer, overseeing process adherence, conducting audits, and ensuring the quality of certification artifacts. Perform duties as a Certification Verification Engineer (CVE), reviewing and approving certification data and evidence. Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate certification requirements into design and development processes. Interface with regulatory authorities, including military authorities, as needed to support certification efforts. Prepare and present certification plans, reports, and documentation to internal stakeholders and external authorities. You should apply if you You possess significant experience as a Certification Expert with a focus on software, electronics, and system-level certification. You have actively participated in the full lifecycle of at least one major certification program. You are proficient in at least one of the following standards: DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A/B, and are eager to expand your expertise in the others.
