Position’s Core Function
The Head of Technology will lead the creation of a first-of-its-kind Network OS: an AI-powered platform that maps, tracks, and activates human relationship capital at scale. This tool will give CEOs instant visibility into their networks, outperform LinkedIn for opportunity sourcing, surpass CRMs for warm intros, and offer richer, more meaningful connections than other relationship tracking platforms. It will visualize deep network graphs across VIP stakeholders—investors, board members, shareholders—and power Ascendancy’s mission to become one call away from every major global leader, investor, and Fortune 5000 CEO.
Responsibilities
Design and build robust backend services and APIs to power our core platform
Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to support internal analytics and AI/ML applications
Manage and optimize Ascendancy’s data lake/warehouse architecture
Design data workflows that integrate and experiment with ML models
Ensure high performance, security, and reliability across backend systems
Lead infrastructure decisions, especially related to data governance and scalability
Be a critical strategic thought-partner for developing Ascendancy’s long-term operations needs
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Proficiency with Python, SQL, and modern backend frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Django, Node.js)
Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Spark, etc.)
Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases
Interest in AI/ML workflows (working with ML engineers, model training, or building inference pipelines)
Extremely detail-oriented, adaptive, collaborative growth mindset, proactive
Solid organizational, analytical, logical reasoning, oral, and written presentation skills
Comfortable and high stress, fast paced environment
