Our Mission:
At Sunrise Robotics, we are dedicated to augmenting humanity through intelligent robotics. Our mission is to elevate the world of manufacturing by introducing intelligent, flexible robots that enhance human capabilities and existing machinery, ushering in the next era of production at higher quality, with less waste, and lower cost.
Our Vision:
We see a future where every element of manufacturing, from design to assembly, is optimised with intelligent automation. Our vision is to integrate flexible robotic solutions, based on generic hardware and advanced software/AI capabilities, into manufacturing, particularly in small and medium-sized enterprises, to make automation economically viable and accessible, for all sizes of manufacturers. We are not just building robots; we are creating the strategically crucial components for autonomous, intelligent agents of the future.
The Role:
As our Production & Supply Chain Manager, you are presented with a unique and exhilarating mission: take a complex, intelligent robotic system from prototype to scalable production while maintaining speed, quality, and flexibility. You will own the end-to-end process of manufacturing planning, supplier coordination, inventory control, and quality assurance, ensuring we deliver reliable robotic systems on time and at scale.
This is a hands-on, foundational role. You will work closely with engineering, deployment, and R&D teams to bring each robotic cell from design to delivery.
From managing suppliers and sourcing custom parts to setting up scalable production systems and inventory workflows, you will be instrumental in turning intent into execution.
You will also support the sourcing and qualification of R&D components, bringing forward alternate parts and new technologies to the engineering team. If you thrive in ambiguity, bring structure to complexity, and are excited to help scale a fast-moving robotics company, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate production schedules to align with deployment timelines and demand forecasts
Own supplier relationships across mechanical, electrical, and custom parts
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and contracts to ensure quality and cost targets
Set up and manage inventory systems to track parts, usage, and replenishment
Implement quality control processes across incoming parts and internal builds
Work with engineering/R&D team to source and validate new and alternate components
Liaise with the R&D team to introduce new parts, materials, and technologies for validation
Support preparation and logistics for field deployments
Create scalable systems and processes to support growth across multiple builds and customers
Who You Are
8+ years experience in production, supply chain, or hardware operations
Strong understanding of sourcing, manufacturing, and inventory management
Experience working with complex hardware products in robotics, automation, or electronics
Comfortable building processes from scratch in a fast-moving environment
Hands-on and detail-oriented, with a bias toward action
Clear communicator who collaborates well across engineering, deployment, and leadership teams
Organised and capable of managing multiple vendors and priorities in parallel
Good to Have
Experience in low-volume, high-mix production environments
Experience managing supply chains for complex electromechanical systems or industrial machinery
Exposure to PLM systems and lean manufacturing principles
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards
Understanding of international logistics, customs, or DDP
