As Head of Partnerships, you will lead Descript’s ecosystem strategy, forging and scaling relationships that drive distribution, unlock commercial opportunities, and enhance our product capabilities through integrations. This is a highly cross-functional, product-oriented partnerships role that blends business development, product strategy, and co-marketing. You will own the end-to-end partnerships strategy—from identifying high-potential opportunities, to structuring agreements, to ensuring ongoing success and adoption. This role requires strong product intuition, deep experience in partnerships, and the ability to represent Descript credibly with senior leaders across technology, AI, and media industries. Key Responsibilities Ecosystem & Strategy Define and execute Descript’s partnerships roadmap across distribution, integrations, bundling opportunities. Identify long-range strategic opportunities with emerging players in AI, generative media, creator ecosystems, and adjacent markets. Own executive-level relationships with strategic partners, including AI platforms, content networks, and technology providers. Distribution & Growth Expand Descript’s reach through integration-driven distribution (e.g., embedding Descript in content platforms, LMS, and creator tools). Lead go-to-market motions with partners to drive ARR, including headless API and platform integrations. Build scalable frameworks for identifying, evaluating, and closing new ARR-generating partners. Co-Marketing & Awareness Drive joint campaigns, launches, and partner-led events to create visibility and awareness for Descript. Collaborate with marketing to amplify integrations and partnership wins across channels. Product Integrations Collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify and deliver integrations that close feature gaps and improve user experience. Ensure integrations create clear, differentiated value for Descript’s users while deepening product stickiness. Partner with technical and product teams on go-to-market for new integrations. Relationship Management Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with partner executives and decision-makers. Ensure ongoing alignment and momentum across multiple active partnerships. What Success Looks Like New ARR generated through distribution and reseller partnerships. High-impact integrations that enhance product stickiness and fill feature gaps. Increased brand visibility through joint marketing initiatives and industry events. Strong, strategic relationships across the AI, generative media, and social ecosystems. A scalable partnership framework that balances commercial and product value. About You Experience: 8+ years in partnerships, ecosystem development, or business development at a high-growth SaaS, AI, or media technology company. Track Record: Proven success building integration- and distribution-driven partnerships that accelerate growth and strengthen product experience. Product Fluency: Deep technical and product intuition; comfortable working closely with product managers and engineers. AI/Media Knowledge: Strong knowledge of generative AI, media, or creator ecosystems. Existing industry relationships a plus. Strategic + Hands-On: Equally skilled at setting partnership strategy and executing deals from sourcing to launch. Collaborative: Works seamlessly across product, engineering, marketing, and executive teams. Not Sales-Quota Driven: Experienced in partnerships rather than direct quota-carrying sales roles. The base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $240,000/year. Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, and location, and may vary from the amount above.  About Descript Descript is building a simple, intuitive, fully-powered editing tool for video and audio — an editing tool built for the age of AI. We are a team of 150 and the backing of some of the world's greatest investors (OpenAI, Andreessen Horowitz, Redpoint Ventures, Spark Capital).  Descript is the special company that's in possession of both product market fit and the raw materials (passionate user community, great product, large market) for growth, but is still early enough that each new employee has a measurable influence on the direction of the company. Benefits include a generous healthcare package, 401k matching program, catered lunches, and flexible vacation time. Our headquarters are located in the Mission District of San Francisco, CA. We're hiring for a mix of remote roles and hybrid roles.  For those who are remote, we have a handful of opportunities throughout the year for in person collaboration.  For our hybrid roles, we're flexible, and you're an adult—we don't expect or mandate that you're in the office every day. We do believe there are valuable and serendipitous moments of discovery and collaboration that come from working together in person.  Descript is an equal opportunity workplace—we are dedicated to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status. We believe in actively building a team rich in diverse backgrounds, experiences, and opinions to better allow our employees, products, and community to thrive.

Meet SienaSiena is the first intelligence layer for customer experience. We're creating an operating system of AI agents that learn, remember, and act across every customer touchpoint—from support conversations to shopping experiences to voice and social media interactions.Siena doesn't just automate support; it powers shopping agents, builds persistent customer memory, generates actionable business insights, and creates empathetic interactions that feel human. We're transforming how businesses understand and connect with their customers, turning every interaction into intelligence that makes the next one better. The teamWe're a small, distributed team that punches way above our weight. Every person here has outsized impact because we've built leverage into everything we do. This philosophy makes us faster and, frankly, more fun to work with.If you're excited about building something that doesn't exist yet, keep reading. If you love solving real-world problems, thrive in fast-paced environments, and take pride in shipping great products, this role is for you. What you’ll doDesign, build, and maintain scalable features across the full stack (frontend, backend, and infra).Collaborate with Product to break down scope into iterative, high-impact releases.Integrate cutting-edge LLM capabilities into real enterprise workflows.Work on an AI-first product, integrating cutting-edge LLM capabilities into enterprise customer support workflows.Solve complex engineering challenges, from optimizing API performance to refining microservices architecture.Maintain and improve our cloud infrastructure (AWS) with a DevOps mindset.Exercise high agency and ownership—taking initiative, making decisions, and driving ideas to production.Who you are3+ years building in Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Express.Strong with PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud environments (AWS: Fargate, Lambda, EC2, SQS).Familiar with CI/CD (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or similar).Experience with microservices and scalable systems.Product-driven—you care about the impact of what you ship, not just the code.AI-first—you live in Cursor, Claude Code and are comfortable orchestrating coding agents.Naturally curious and proactive; you don’t wait for instructions, you create momentum.Bonus pointsNext.js, Python, or event-driven architectures.Infra-as-code (Terraform, CDK).Experience integrating with LLMs in production.Event-driven architecture experience. Why Siena?Meaningful impact. They fix problems first and explain later. They're direct about feedback—both giving and receiving it—because they care more about getting things right than being polite. They maintain high standards while moving at startup speed, and they build real relationships with teammates because they know that's how great work gets done. When things get tough, they adapt and keep pushing forward. Our approach to AIThe people who thrive here treat AI like a natural extension of themselves. Building the Open Superintelligence Lab Prime Intellect is building the open superintelligence stack - from frontier agentic models to the infra that enables anyone to create, train, and deploy them. We aggregate and orchestrate global compute into a single control plane and pair it with the full rl post-training stack: environments, secure sandboxes, verifiable evals, and our async RL trainer. We enable researchers, startups and enterprises to run end-to-end reinforcement learning at frontier scale, adapting models to real tools, workflows, and deployment contexts. We recently raised $15mm in funding (total of $20mm raised) led by Founders Fund, with participation from Menlo Ventures and prominent angels including Andrej Karpathy (Eureka AI, Tesla, OpenAI), Tri Dao (Chief Scientific Officer of Together AI), Dylan Patel (SemiAnalysis), Clem Delangue (Huggingface), Emad Mostaque (Stability AI) and many others. About Bland At Bland.com, our goal is to empower enterprises to make AI-phone agents at scale. Based out of San Francisco, we're a quickly growing team striving to change the way customers interact with businesses. We've raised $65 million from Silicon Valley's finest; Including Emergence Capital, Scale Venture Partners, YC, the founders of Twilio, Affirm, ElevenLabs, and many more.About the Role As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Bland, you'll help us to build the backbone that enables millions of AI-powered phone conversations. You're not just keeping servers running, you're architecting distributed systems that handle real-time voice processing, scale ML inference, and integrate with enterprise telephony infrastructure. Your work directly determines whether our platform can handle business-defining call volumes for our customers, or leaves them with dead air. What You'll DoContribute to the designing of scalable architecture: Build distributed systems using Kubernetes that handle high-volume, real-time voice processing with strict latency and reliability requirements.Build and Support ML infrastructure: Create and optimize the infrastructure supporting our AI models, from training pipelines to real-time inference serving across multiple regions.Integrate with telephony: Maintain robust connections between our platform and complex enterprise phone systems, SIP trunks, and VoIP infrastructure.Recognize Flaws, Control for them: We’re building a new type of architecture that takes something from Column A, and Column B. We’re never going to get it perfect, so you’ll be helping us keep a look out for what we need to solve.Ensure reliability: Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems that keep our platform running 24/7 with enterprise-grade uptime.Scale with growth: Anticipate and solve scaling challenges before they become problems—our call volume grows exponentially and infrastructure needs to stay ahead.Security and compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance requirements for enterprise customers in regulated industries.Interesting Problems to OwnOld-Meets-New: Telephone calls have been around for awhile. Now with an explosion in modern technologies - comes interesting new ways to wrangle old-school protocols and techniques. You’ll have the space to be creative and really own a new emergent type of architecture.Sizable Call Volumes requires new approaches: Understand and deeply invest in ensuring that we match any amount of customer’s customers call volume! We need unique solutions, that you’ll help us discover along the way.Streaming Architectures: On top of building to support our APIs, you’ll also be building to helping maintain the reliability, failover, and scaling of our important stream-based traffic. What Makes You a Great FitInfrastructure expertise: 5+ years building and scaling distributed systems, with deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP preferred). You “get” the fundamentals, and beyond: For example, you can casually tell someone how TLS works beyond buzzwords, do a quick sketch of how different load balancing strategies work, or even tell us the obscure thing you fell asleep reading about last night. There isn’t a blank stare, there’s an excitement to share.Real-time systems experience: You've built systems that handle high-throughput, low-latency workloads, streaming, real-time processing, or similar.Startup mentality: You've worked at fast-growing companies where you wear multiple hats and solve problems as they come up.You’re opinionated, but you’re not alienating: You accept that opinions drive progress, but you don’t intend to break into alienating discussions at the risk of not finding compromises for our customers. You’re familiar with some tools/components like: Cloudflare, HAProxy, Go, TypeScript, Datadog, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Nvidia Hardware (nvlink for example), and anything in between.Bonus Points If You HaveExperience with telephony systems (SIP, VOIP, WebRTC.)Background in ML infrastructure, model serving, or GPU computing.Experience with real-time audio/video processing.Benefits and Pay:Healthcare, dental, vision, all the good stuffMeaningful equity in a fast-growing companyEvery tool you need to succeedBeautiful office in Jackson Square, SF with rooftop viewsIf you don't have the perfect experience that is fine! We're a bunch of drop-outs and hackers. Working at a start-up is really hard. We work a lot and we figure things out on the fly.Compensation Range: $120,000-$200,000

About ElicitElicit is an AI research assistant that uses language models to help professional researchers and high-stakes decision makers break down hard questions, gather evidence from scientific/academic sources, and reason through uncertainty. What we're aiming for:Elicit radically increases the amount of good reasoning in the world. For experts, Elicit pushes the frontier forward. For non-experts, Elicit makes good reasoning more accessible. People who don't have the tools, expertise, time, or mental energy to make carefully-reasoned decisions on their own can do so with Elicit.Elicit is a scalable ML system based on human-understandable task decompositions, with supervision of process, not outcomes. This expands our collective understanding of safe AGI architectures.Visit our Twitter to learn more about how Elicit is helping researchers and making progress on our mission. Why we're hiring for this roleTwo main reasons:Currently, Elicit operates over academic papers and clinical trials. One of your key initial responsibilities will be to build a complete corpus of these documents, available as soon as they're published, combining different data sources and ingestion methods. Once that's done there is a growing list of other document types and sources we'd love to integrate! One of our main initiatives is to broaden the sorts of tasks you can complete in Elicit. We need a data engineer to figure out the best way to ingest massive amounts of heterogeneous data in such a way as to make it usable by LLMs. We need your help to integrate into our customers' custom data providers to that they can create task-specific workflows over them.In general, we're looking for someone who can architect and implement robust, scalable solutions to handle our growing data needs while maintaining high performance and data quality. Our tech stackData pipeline: Python, Flyte, SparkProbably less relevant to you, but ICOI:Backend: Node and Python, event sourcingFrontend: Next.js, TypeScript, and TailwindWe like static type checking in Python and TypeScript! All infrastructure runs in Kubernetes across a couple of cloudsWe use GitHub for code reviews and CIWe deploy using the gitops pattern (i.e. deploys are defined and tracked by diffs in our k8s manifests)Am I a good fit?Consider the questions:How would you optimize a Spark job that's processing a large amount of data but running slowly? What are the differences between RDD, DataFrame, and Dataset in Spark? When would you use each? How does data partitioning work in distributed systems, and why is it important? How would you implement a data pipeline to handle regular updates from multiple academic paper sources, ensuring efficient deduplication? If you have a solid answer for these—without reference to documentation—then we should chat!Location and travelWe have a lovely office in Oakland, CA; there are people there every day but we don't all work from there all the time. It's important to us to spend time with our teammates, however, so we ask that all Elicians spend about 1 week out of every 6 with teammates. We wrote up more details on this page. What you'll bring to the role5+ years of experience as a data engineer: owning make-or-break decisions about how to ingest, manage, and use dataStrong proficiency in Python (5+ years experience)You have created and owned a data platform at rapidly-growing startups—gathering needs from colleagues, planning an architecture, deploying the infrastructure, and implementing the toolingExperience with architecting and optimizing large data pipelines, ideally with particular experience with Spark; ideally these are pipelines which directly support user-facing features (rather than internal BI, for example)Strong SQL skills, including understanding of aggregation functions, window functions, UDFs, self-joins, partitioning, and clustering approachesExperience with columnar data storage formats like ParquetStrong opinions, weakly-held about approaches to data quality managementCreative and user-centric problem-solvingYou should be excited to play a key role in shipping new features to users—not just building out a data platform!Nice to HaveExperience in developing deduplication processes for large datasetsHands-on experience with full-text extraction and processing from various document formats (PDF, HTML, XML, etc.)Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in search technologiesExperience with distributed computing frameworks beyond Spark (e.g., Dask, Ray)Experience in science and academia: familiarity with academic publications, and the ability to accurately model the needs of our usersHands-on experience with industry standard tools like Airflow, DBT, or HadoopHands-on experience with standard paradigms like data lake, data warehouse, or lakehouseWhat you'll doYou'll own:Building and optimizing our academic research paper pipelineYou'll architect and implement robust, scalable systems to handle data ingestion while maintaining high performance and quality. You'll work on efficiently deduplicating hundreds of millions of research papers, and calculating embeddings.Your goal will be to make Elicit the most complete and up-to-date database of scholarly sources.Expanding the datasets Elicit works overOur users want Elicit to work over court documents, SEC filings, … your job will be to figure out how to ingest and index a rapidly increasing ontology of documents. We also want to support less structured documents, spreadsheets, presentations, all the way up to rich media like audio and video.Larger customers often want for us to integrate private data into Elicit for their organisation to use. We'll look to you to define and build a secure, reliable, fast, and auditable approach to these data connectors.Data for our ML systemsYou'll figure out the best way to preprocess all these data mentioned above to make them useful to models. We often need datasets for our model fine-tuning. You'll work with our ML engineers and evaluation experts to find, gather, version, and apply these datasets in training runs.Your first week:Start building foundational contextGet to know your team, our stack (including Python, Flyte, and Spark), and the product roadmap.Familiarize yourself with our current data pipeline architecture and identify areas for potential improvement.Make your first contribution to ElicitComplete your first Linear issue related to our data pipeline or academic paper processing.Have a PR merged into our monorepo, demonstrating your understanding of our development workflow.Gain understanding of our CI/CD pipeline, monitoring, and logging tools specific to our data infrastructure.Your first month:You'll complete your first multi-issue projectTackle a significant data pipeline optimization or enhancement project.Collaborate with the team to implement improvements in our academic paper processing workflow. You're actively improving the teamContribute to regular team meetings and hack days, sharing insights from your data engineering expertise.Add documentation or diagrams explaining our data pipeline architecture and best practices.Suggest improvements to our data processing and storage methodologies.Your first quarter:You're flying soloIndependently implement significant enhancements to our data pipeline, improving efficiency and scalability.Make impactful decisions regarding our data architecture and processing strategies. You've developed an area of expertiseBecome the go-to resource for questions related to our academic paper processing pipeline and data infrastructure.Lead discussions on optimizing our data storage and retrieval processes for academic literature. You actively research and improve the productPropose and scope improvements to make Elicit more comprehensive and up-to-date in terms of scholarly sources.Identify and implement technical improvements to surpass competitors like Google Scholar in terms of coverage and data quality.Compensation, benefits, and perksIn addition to working on important problems as part of a productive and positive team, we also offer great benefits (with some variation based on location):Flexible work environment: work from our office in Oakland or remotely with time zone overlap (between GMT and GMT-8), as long as you can travel for in-person retreats and coworking eventsFully covered health, dental, vision, and life insurance for you, generous coverage for the rest of your familyFlexible vacation policy, with a minimum recommendation of 20 days/year + company holidays401K with a 6% employer matchA new Mac + $1,000 budget to set up your workstation or home office in your first year, then $500 every year thereafter$1,000 quarterly AI Experimentation & Learning budget, so you can freely experiment with new AI tools to incorporate into your workflow, take courses, purchase educational resources, or attend AI-focused conferences and eventsA team administrative assistant who can help you with personal and work tasksYou can find more reasons to work with us in this thread! For all roles at Elicit, we use a data-backed compensation framework to keep salaries market-competitive, equitable, and simple to understand.
