The Opportunity
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an Applied Research Scientist with a keen interest and background in natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL) to join our Agents team. The team builds user-facing features that work in all Superhuman applications. We help our users write better, faster, and more effectively while working in big groups. The person in this role will bring their unique perspective to our product development process by contributing to ideation and defining the solution space. Based on their deep grasp of ML/DL/NLP concepts, the Applied Researcher will define the approach to solving the complex problems. The role will also build the intelligent functionality of our product offerings.

Strong theoretical foundation in ML/DL algorithms and methodologies.

Deep experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Proven track record of applying ML/DL algorithms effectively to NLP tasks.

Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (preferably Python).

Compensation & Benefits:
The standard base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $250,000 annually. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

Metropolis is seeking a transformative Accounting Manager to help lead our accounting function, focusing on corporate business operations and financial reporting. This role is crucial for modernizing accounting operations through process automation, scalable processes, and real-time analytics. You will participate in managing the general ledger and financial reporting, drive process improvement, and ensure compliance and participate in the annual audit. The successful candidate will utilize AI and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to optimize workflows, automate tasks, and enhance efficiency. What you'll do
Complete month-end close activities accurately and according to department deadlines
Help lead and mentor a team of staff and senior accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and AI-driven tools in accounting workflows
Collaborate with finance systems and data teams to implement automated reporting and reconciliation solutions
Prepare and post journal entries; collect, analyze, and record data to general ledger system
Record accruals, expense allocations, and month-end true-ups
Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly; assist with the monthly budgetary process for reporting and variance analysis

What we're looking for
7+ years of accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university
2+ years of prior leadership experience within an accounting organization
Ability to manage time for multiple tasks to meet established deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Experience with accounting automation, AI-enabled analytics tools, or process optimization through technology (e.g., RPA, AI-based reconciliation, or workflow automation)

About the role:
As part of Cresta's Conversation Design team, you will assist in designing high quality AI conversation models that offer real-time coaching and assistance for our customers' contact center agents, and designing conversational experiences for virtual agents for both voice and chat.
